10 Day Tour From Marrakech To Merzouga

Itinerary

1st Day: Airport Marrakech

The first day of the program will begin by visiting the Hassan II Mosque, which is one of the few mosques that are open to non-muslims. Rabat is the next city to visit in the afternoon. We will travel to the city and pay a visit to the Royal Palace, the mausoleum of Mohammed V. Overnight and diner are served in Rabat.

2nd Day: Let’s Explore Marrakech

The second day is programmed to be as follows: We will pay a visit to the most important places of great cultural and historical interests in Marrakech. The list includes the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, the Bedii and Bahia Palaces, and the Dar Si Said Museum, the Agdal, Manara Gardens, the tanners and dyers’ quarters, and finally, The impeccable Djemma El Fna Square, which is a must-visit.

Day 3: Marrakech – Ouarzazate

Marrakech is the starting point of the program of this day, the ending point is Ouarzazat. We reach the latter via the pass of Tizi n’Tishka. But before that, we will visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, which is a famous filming spot and also a world heritage site. We will spend the night at a nice hotel at Ouarzazate after we explore the area.

4th Day: Ouarzazate – Merzouga

After breakfast, we will leave Ouarzazate. We will go to Dades Valley and Toudgha Gorges after that, to explore the amazing landscapes of the two places. Then, we will visit some of the towns of the Tafilalt region like Rissani and Erfoud before we head towards Merzouga; there we will ride the camels and head to the high dunes of Erg Chebbi.

5th Day: Exploring Merzouga

This day is going to be devoted to the exploration of the Merzouga desert. We will wake up early in the morning to see the amazing dawn over the sand. Then, we will do some camel trekking in the area. At night, we will stay in a camp with the nomads, who are going to play drums for us.

6th Day: Erg Chebbi – Fes

After we wake up early, to watch the fascinating sunrise colors over the dunes, we will take the camels towards the village of Merzouga; there we will have breakfast and shower. Then, we will depart from Merzouga towards the city Fez. We will drive through Tafilalt with all of its valleys and oases. We will stop briefly at Midelt, which is approximately half the road, for lunch. Driving through the Middle Atlas region, we will have an opportunity to see the monkeys that live in the cedar forests near Azrou. We will pay a quick visit to Ifran after that, then, we will stop at Fez in the late afternoon. We will stay at a Riad for the rest of the day.

7th Day: Discovering Fez

This day will be dedicated to exploring Fez. We will have a guided tour through the narrow streets and corners of the Medina. We will visit all the historically significant landmarks such as the university of Al Quaraouine. We will also pay a visit to the leather tanneries. And we will have some free time to explore the city on our own. We will spend the rest of the day after that at the Riad.

8th Day: Fes – Rabat

The starting point is Fez of the day and the ending point is Rabat. In between the two cities, we will stop at Volubilis; the ancient Roman ruins and then the holy city Moulay Driss, which has a great cultural and historical value in the region. After we explore the landmarks, the night will be spent at a fancy hotel in Rabat.

9th Day: Rabat – Marrakech

This day, we will leave Rabat and head back towards Marrakech. We will stop several times to explore the natural landscapes. And we will have a free program to explore the Red City once we’re there. We will spend the night in a Riad

10th Day: Marrakech

The last service we offer is the transfer to the airport.
