9 Day Tour from Fez to Marrakech

Itinerary

1^st Day: Exploring Fez?

The first day will be dedicated to exploring the historical sites of Fez. We usually pay a visit to the most known places in Fes. It is one of the oldest cities in Morocco and it has some of the most culturally significant landmarks in the kingdom. The places that are going to be explored in our guided tour are the Madrasas, the souk/market, Al Qaraouinine University and mosques, plazas, Andalusians buildings and pottery, palaces and museums and many other places in the Medina. We will spend the night in a cool traditional Riad.

2^nd Day: Fes – Midelt

After breakfast, We will leave Fez. On our way will stop at the cedar forest near Azrou to ckeck the monkeys. Then we won’t stop until we reach Midelt; there we will spend the rest of the day in a fancy hotel.

Day 3: Midelt – Merzouga

After breakfast, we will leave Midelt driving through the pass of Tizi n’Teghamt and towns like Errachidia and Erfoud towards Merzouga.

4^th and 5^th Days: Merzouga

Merzouga has got a lot to offer to its visitors. Erg Chebbi is the first place we will enjoy visiting. Then, Khamlia comes second. We will pay a visit to nomads in the middle of the dunes where there’s a camp waiting for us. We will spend the night with nomads under the beautiful sky.

6^th Day: Merzouga – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, we will visit Rissani. Then, we will go to Tinghir and Toudgha Gorges to explore the amazing landscapes of the area. Afterward, we will head to Ouarzazate to explore the film studios of the Hollywood of Morocco along with the Kasbah of Taourirt. We will spend the night in hotel after that.

7^th Day: Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Breakfast as usual launches the trip. Today’s events are the visit of Ait Benhaddou, which enlisted as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Afterward, we will pay a visit to the Kasbah of Telouet. The next event is crossing the pass of the highest mountainous range in Morocco – Tizi n Tichca. In the evening, we reach Marrakech, an imperial city. Overnight stay will be at the hotel or a traditional riad.

8^th Day: Exploring Marrakech?

We will have a full-day dedicated to a guided tour to roam in Marrakech. It is called the Red City because of its walls and filled gardens, watered by wells’ water. We will visit the magnificent places to like Menara, the Kasbah, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia Mosque, Majorelle Gardens and souks or markets, and Jemaa El Fna. A stay in Marrakech overnight in a riad.
