Ten Days Tour from Tangier to Merzouga

Itinerary

1^st Day: Meeting and Transfer

“The Moroccan trips” staff will meet you at your accommodation or the airport. Then, we will pick you up and start our trip toward the Rif Mountains very soon. We will try to save time to enjoy as much as possible for the most attractive places only. Once we arrive at the Blue Pearl of Morocco; Chefchaouen town. We will let you discover on your own. Then, we will meet up again at our accommodation.

2^nd Day: Chefchaouen – Fes

The second day’s journey starts after breakfast. We will go to Volubilis after that, which is an archeological site of old city Roman ruins. Later on, we pay a visit to Meknes. Its most interesting monuments are Bab Mansour and Moulay Driss ZArhon and Lhdim square. we explore Fez the medina in the afternoon. We spend the night at our accommodation.

3^rd Day: Fes Sightseeing

After breakfast is offered at your accommodation, we will start discovering the historical places of Fez like the Royal Palace, the Jewish neighborhood, Al Qaraouine University, and the Attarine museum, as well as Mulay Idriss mausoleum. This is concerned with lunch. The visit includes having a panoramic impression of the heritage culture of Fes.

4^th Day: Fes – Merzouga

We start the day by having breakfast. Next, We will depart from Fez towards Merzouga. We will go across many varied towns and cities like Ifran and Azrou. The latter is known for a forest where monkeys live. We will arrive at Midelt city to have lunch. We still need to hit the road to reach in the afternoon the town of Merzouga. from Midelt to Merzouga we will cross Errachidia, Erfoud, and Rissani. At Merzouga, we will ride the camels and head toward Erg Chebbi dunes to spend the night in a camp with the band of nomad music players.

5^th Day: Let’s Discover Merzouga

The day starts with having breakfast. The next event is exploring the area of Merzouga. We will pay a visit to Khamlia to meet the nomad families. We will eat lunch after that lunch, which is going to be an Amazigh meal (Berber pizza). The city of Rissani is optional to visit. In the afternoon, we will drive back to Merzouga. We will ride the camels towards Erg Chebbi to spend more time there.

6^th Day: Merzouga –  Dades Valley

In the morning we wake up early to see the sunrise over the dunes. The destination of the day will be Dades gorges.  We will travel through Rissani and Erfoud and turn left to Tinjdad and Tinghir. Then, we will go to Toudgha, which is a canyon that offers great opportunities for hikers and climbers. Some free time will be given to you to discover the area on your own. We will reach the Dades valley in the afternoon. We will have dinner and overnight in a nice guest house.

7^th Day: Dades Valley – Marrakech

We will go to Ouarzazate to explore the movie studios coupled with the local kasbahs. The program continues to reach Ait Ben Haddou. A wealth of western movies has been shot in these two amazing spots. Later on, we will keep on going to the High Atlas mountains via Tizi n Tichka mountainous pass. Upon arriving at Marrackech, we will go to a nice traditional Riad to spend the night there.

8^th Day: Marrakech

The program includes one full day of visiting and touring around the Red City. We propose many sites to visit and we also respect your choices. The menu includes the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace. Lunchtime will find us in a restaurant next to the Jamaa Lafna square. In the afternoon we pay a visit to the local market to observe the countless numbers of handicrafts and carpets. In the afternoon, free time is devoted to wondering in the other parts of the city.

9^th Day: Day Trip To Essaouira

The city of Essaouira is our destination for this day. The visit includes the Skala Fortress, Thuya wood. We will take a walk through the streets of the city. This “City of the Wind” entices tourists from different corners of the world. The city has witnessed several civilizations and rich history. It is touted as Morocco’s “Jewel of the Atlantic”. The program includes the visit to the women co-operative of Argan oil, where they extract the oil that is famous for its culinary, cosmetic and other purposes. Lunch is served in the Moroccan way – fresh market. In the afternoon we go back to Marrakech. Overnight is served at your riad.

10^th Day: Marrakech – Airpor

The services include the transfer to either Casablanca or Marrakech airport from Essaouira. A safe journey is our last wish to you on the way to hometown.
